Connection Teams

Have you noticed the cheerful people who greet you on the shuttle, hand you a bulletin, and collect the offering every Sunday?
These are the Trinity Connection Team members who help make
church “happen” each week.

Sharing Our Gifts of Hospitality: Trinity Connection Teams create the welcoming atmosphere that we experience and enjoy on Sunday mornings by exercising their collective gifts of hospitality.  Teams, composed of volunteers, lend a hand doing a variety of “up front” and “behind the scenes” work, like taking coats, providing a warm greeting, and setting-up then taking-down our reception area (the lobby) each Sunday.

Join In: Connection Teams provide a great gateway for getting connected to others at Trinity, not only by serving side-by-side, but also greeting and assisting those coming to worship.  The teams, which serve on a rotating schedule, provide an opportunity to be part of a small group that meets, socializes, and prays together on a periodic basis.  Joining a Connection Team is an easy way to be part of a mini-group and serve the Trinity community.

Anyone who feels connected to Trinity is welcome to be part of one of the six Connection Teams. If you’re new to Trinity, this is the place for you.  If you have been part of the community for a while, this is the place for you. If you are young, young-at-heart, single, married, widowed, divorced, or whatever season of life you are in, you'll find a place here!

How Teams Function: Each team has a Team Leader(s) who coordinates the team's efforts for their given months. Each team serves twice a year, six months apart, for designated months. Click here to meet Trinity's Connection Team Leaders.

Team Leaders serve not only as “point people” for the team, but also as spiritual leaders for the team.  They coordinate enriching activities for greater connections within their teams, they pray for their team members, and they encourage spiritual growth for their teams.

Connection Team Captain:  Laura Bigaouette is the overall Coordinator for the Trinity Connection Teams.  Please feel free to contact her at laurbig@yahoo.com if you would like to discuss any aspect of your involvement with a Team or if you have any other questions.

Connection Team Task Descriptions: When you serve on a team, you do not have to serve every Sunday of your team’s month.  Let your team leader know when you will be available and which tasks you feel most comfortable doing (there are a range of tasks to fit families, individual, extroverts and introverts). Your team leader will help you find your fit and help you try out various ones to help you discover your hospitality gifts. Click here to preview the Connection Team’s Task Descriptions document.
