Kids for Kids
In 2003, Trinity Kids raised over $1,800 for their first mission project, Kids for Kids. They raised the money by collecting loose change that accumulates during the week, tithing their allowance, and holding a bake sale. The first year, we raised over $5,000 and purchased 102 goats that were distributed through World Vision to 34 child-headed households in Rwanda through World Vision. In 2004, $4,800 was raised for the purchase of cows to child-headed households in Nyarutovu, Rwanda. Our Trinity Kids raised over $2,000 in 2005 to build a home for a child sponsored by a Trinity Church member in Nyarutovu, Rwanda. One of our own Trinity kids, 3rd grader William Jones, took part in building the home.
It is so rewarding when children get excited about showing God’s love
and serving others in response to God’s love for them. Our kids can make
a difference!
