Responsibilities of the Council

The Trinity Council serves as the spiritual leadership of the Church and oversees all of its affairs. This includes three broad areas of responsibility:

  • Feeding: encouraging and enabling the people of the Church to grow in God’s word. The Council is responsible for the spiritual diet of the Church.
  • Leading: shepherding the Church and directing its affairs.
  • Protecting: guarding the Church from false teachers and unhealthy influences.

Role of the Council

The members of our Council are servant leaders, with their primary concern the spiritual welfare of Trinity Church and the Godly stewardship of its tangible and intangible resources. Their role is to listen with care and discernment to the people of Trinity Church, and consult with them on a continuing basis. The Council also aims to generously provide information as needed and make ample opportunities for communication and discussion.

Design of the Council

Trinity’s Council is set-up so that it has no fewer than three members and a maximum of 12.  Our Council members serve for 3-year terms, however, Council members may not serve more than two consecutive full terms, in addition to any partial term he/she may have served, without an intervening year.
