Trinity Live!

From our earliest days music has been a distinctive part of Trinity's Sunday worship gatherings. We believe the arts can apprehend and communicate spiritual truths in a way that the spoken or written word simply cannot. It was this love and passion for the arts that inspired the production of this CD. Our hope is that this taste of the music our church hears and sings every Sunday morning will bring you as much joy in your home or car as it does to each of us when we gather to worship. - Ian Cron, Senior Minister

When we set out to make this recording, the goal was simple: to reproduce, as authentically as possible, the heartfelt moments of worship that happen at Trinity Church. Worship music is an extension of the hymn tradition and this tradition goes back a pretty long way. It includes some of the richest music ever written.

The music on this recording is a modest set of modern choruses and praise songs that doesn't claim to be either Bach or Thomas A. Dorsey (writer of "Take My Hand, Precious Lord"). These songs were written, for the most part, by worship leaders and come from a very honest and deep place. Singing them at the top of our lungs was a joy. It is because of the talent and dedication of the great musicians at Trinity Church that the experience of producing this record was as wonderful for me as it was. I thank Ian Cron our pastor, Wayne Zito, Tony Cruz, Lynn Witty, Sean Witty, Jim Clark, Chris Coogan, John Widgren, Jeff Kievit, Andy Snitzer, and Dana Teboe for their excellence and hard work.
